Who could forget our favorite quirky contestant on Bravo’s Project Runway, Leanne Marshall? When she took home the top prize in ’08 after a stunning showing at Bryant Park, I couldn’t wait to see her back in the tents, but on her own terms… and boy did she deliver. It might be early to call it, but Marshall’s collection is proving to be one of my favorites of Fashion Week. In a rich palette of moody, vintage blues, daffodil yellow and a delicate off white combined with khakis, black and luxurious cognac leather pieces, Marshall presented a fully comprehensive wardrobe that could take the most en vogue woman from day to night. Her typical architectural design elements took on an ethereal look in some pieces while her day looks had a scrubbed-clean americana feel. With flirty separates, relaxed day pieces and red carpet ready party dresses and gowns, Miss Marshall managed to cover all her bases in one fluid collection without seeming forced or contrived.

I love this modernist take on a feminine floral embellishment and how it adds a flirty, fun touch to this all around elegant number.

This adorable dress looks so effortless paired with these great cognac boots and comfy thigh-highs.

This is officially my dream cardigan for fall. It just screams Katherine Hepburn and I can’t picture a more appropriate sweater to wear as I conquer the big city all on my own.

I just think it’s so impressive how Marshall can nail the comfortable, cool laidback chic of the outfits above and follow it up with a series of sassy cocktail dresses as hot as these

A young, fresh sensibility with timeless grace, Leanne Marshall’s collection might as well be my dream wardrobe for taking on the real world and chasing my journalism dreams in the big city. Bravo!! Now Leanne, if your looking for someone to take that sweater off your hands….
